The company was founded as Industria de Asiento Superior (INSA) in the city of Aguascalientes Mexico with a Tachi-S Co. Ltd & Nissan Co-investment.
Oct 1992
INSA opens its first facility in Mexico.

First mass production seat delivered to Nissan Mexicana.
Oct 1996
INSA begins with mass production of seats for Honda de Mexico, which are delivered to their plant located in Guadalajara.
Apr 1998
INSA opens a new facility in Cuernavaca, established to service Nissan Mexicana (CIVAC).
Apr 1999
INSA opens a new facility in Guadalajara, established to service Honda de Mexico.
Jul 2001
Tachi-S Group takes total control of INSA, due to the alliance between Nissan & Renault.
Feb 2006
INSA opens a new facility in the state of Zacatecas, which will produce Car Trims.
